ECU Tuning Files FAQ

Many file editing software options exist, so the choice ultimately comes down to personal preference.

We would recommend using WinOLS. WinOLS it has loads of advanced features to help make editing and viewing ECU files easy. Using WinOLS will allow you to build your own database of files easily, saving you time and money in the future.

WinOLS can be purchased directly from EVC WinOLS.

The files we provide are for reference purposes to aid in creating new solutions. The tunes on them are generally on the safer side, which is always the best place to start, especially if you are not with the vehicle!

If the files are not performing as you want, push them a little harder using any file editing software.

Any issues with an ECU Tuning File provided through the service, please visit our Support Page and submit both your original file and the file provided. These files will be reviewed and if any issues found with the file, we will be in touch.

Removals Files

We will not offer any credit on removals solutions, the files are designed to allow for developing solutions for your own files, not to be writtem directly to the car.

Unfortunately, we do not estimate the gains from our files, as all vehicles will produce slightly different results. Most gains advertised by file providers are estimated and inaccurate.

To truely get the most out of a vehicle, it wants to be tuned and dialed in with the use of a dyno.

By using any of the files we provide that alter the emmissions systems of a vehicle you are aknowledging that you are responsible to ensure that it complies with any local laws and that the vehicle is designed for off-road use.

If you are removing the Adblue from a vehicle, we recommend that the Adblue system be fault free before removal, otherwise it tends to leave faults present as they are stored in the adblue module rather than the ECU.
